In the ongoing China Open at Tianjin, South Africa’s Branden Grace is performing excellently and has ended up in the lead position after round three. Branden Grace, aged 23 years, hit shots that put him ahead of Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts. In the beginning Grace was one shot behind but soon obtained four shots in their respective holes and got ahead of the other competitors.
The day was a bit windy and to some extent affected the game. The other player from Paraguay, named Fabrizio Zanotti and the other player from Sweden, named Alexander Noren played very well too. But they were no where near Grace’s performance.
Grace is a promising player and is proceeding to attain the third victory this year in his European tour. He has already got the winner’s title in the Joburg open and won the Volvo Golf championship early this year in January. It is evident that Grace is very high in confidence right now especially after beating the two most competent players Ernie Els and Goosen. Grace in an interview said, “I always try to learn from my past games. Experience plays a very vital role in my course of learning about the game.”
During this China Open he missed just a single shot and was full of confidence and hungry to win. His brimming confidence is sure to help him in the upcoming days of the championship. In an interview Grace mentioned, “The two wins I had at the beginning of this year 2012 were very helpful in influencing my confidence. The victories are urging me to play even well this time.”
“I am positive that the optimism that I have attained this year is sure to fuel me in the forthcoming tournaments and championships. This year is totally different from the previous years. This year I am having more successful shots and I am being able to hole more shots unlike the other years.”
The golf course where the China Open is being held is very much alike to the course at Fancourt where Grace won in January. This has also created a very familiar environment to him. Grace says, “I am having the same feeling as if I am playing in Fancourt itself. This is a very positive feeling for me.”
The other players in the tournament, namely, Noren, Boyd and Colsaerts even though are playing their best are way behind Grace. Colsaerts who won the title the previous year was keenly trying to defend his position but failed to match up with Branden Grace’s mind-blowing form.
